Spotswood, NJ Memorial  Contributor's Pick!       
In tribute to the first railroad to be built in NJ, the Camden & Amboy RR, the town of Spotswood has erected a memorial, complete with original stone 'sleepers'. The rails in 1831 were spiked to stone, before wooden ties were discovered to be more stable anchors
